Mothers Offering Mutual Support

In this third episode of Liberation Amplified, we are joined by Farhat, Gail, and Marge, three members of the group Mothers Offering Mutual Support (MOMS). We hear them speak about the origins of this group, its purpose and mission, the systemic barriers they face and observe daily, and also their accomplishments.

What began as a small circle of women carrying the weight of the correctional system, on their shoulders and in their hearts, has grown into a vital support network for mothers, sisters, daughters, grandmothers, aunts, and wives.

Through monthly meetings, MOMs has created a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space. A space where grief is understood, where burdens can be shared, and where no one must navigate the legal and correctional systems alone.
