On February 8, 1983, a plumber was called to an apartment complex at 23 Cranley Gardens due to complaints from the tenants about blocked drains and bad odors. When the plumber lifted the drain cover and peered inside, he saw what looked to be a flesh-like substance and small bone fragments. What the plumber did not know at this time was that he had just discovered the remains of victims murdered by a sadistic serial killer named Dennis Nilsen, who was also a tenant living at 23 Cranley Gardens. In part 1 of 2, we will cover Dennis Nilsen's childhood and the beginning of his infamous murder spree that eventually led to the discovery of his victims' remains in the drainpipes.
