Episode 59; Architect Mayhem 9: Graham Downes and Survivor Kirby Morrill

This week, Beth brings back installment 9 of Architect Mayhem, with the tragic death of visionary Graham Downes. Graham was a South African Bauhaus-style Architect who transformed San Diego, California, but was cruelly killed by an insecure employee.

Bailey lifts up the second half of this episode with the survivor story of Kirby Morrill, a Canadian woman who survived a brutal machete attack on the Appalachian Trail, the 3100 mile / 5000 km hiking odyssey undertaken by thousands of people every year, 75% of whom don't finish it. Unfortunately, Kirby lost a protector and supporter on her journey, and Bailey will tell you all about what a good guy Ron Sanchez, Jr. was and how he helped Kirby out twice before he lost his life.
