The Mysterious Case of Elisa Lam

In 2013, 21-year-old Elisa Lam, a Canadian student, checked into the infamous Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. Days later, she vanished without a trace. Security footage from the hotel's elevator showed her acting strangely—pressing multiple buttons, peeking out nervously, and making odd hand gestures. Weeks later, guests complained about the water tasting strange. Maintenance workers checked the rooftop water tank… and found Elisa’s body inside. The hotel’s rooftop was locked, and the tanks were difficult to access, making her death a chilling mystery. Was it a tragic accident, a case of foul play, or something even more sinister? To this day, the true cause of her death remains debated.
