Where exactly is Lake Highlands… and why do so many people love living there?

Lake Highlands has a personality all its own. It’s technically in the city of Dallas, but it’s served by Richardson Independent School District, which surprises a lot of buyers. It also sits on higher ground just north of White Rock Lake, giving the area rolling terrain, big mature trees, and some of the most interesting landscapes you’ll find inside the Dallas city limits.

Lake Highlands has gone through several evolutions over the years, but one thing hasn’t changed: people who live there tend to really love it. It’s common to see families move away and eventually come back or even have multiple generations living just blocks from each other.
