Temporada 5
It's a Killer
The sixth commandment is "You shall not murder.” (Exodus 20:13). I'm pretty sure you think you're never going to break that one, but actually, if you give it a bit of serious thought, you'll realise that you have no hope of keeping it. You really do need a Saviour.
Show Some Respect
Exodus 20:12. "Honour your father and your mother." The fifth Commandment has something to say to everyone. It's not just for children.
Sunday, That's My Fun Day
Exodus 20:8 – 11. Are we still meant to set aside a day for God every week — a Sabbath? What would it look like if we did?
Name Above All Names
Exodus 20:7. The third Commandment is about God's name. God demands that we treat it with appropriate respect, and this sermon is about what that means.
The Right God The Right Way
Exodus 20:4 – 6. The second Commandment warns us that God is jealous, so we have to be very careful; the God we serve and worship must be the God of the Bible, not some other God we may have dreamed up for ourselves. But did you realise? It also implies that we have to be careful about how we go about serving and worshipping Him.
No Other Gods
Exodus 20:1 – 3. In the first commandment, God claims first place in your heart. You can't give that place to anyone or anything else.
Oh How I Love Your Law
Back in the day, there were standards: standards that Christians held to. Not now. Not the same. Maybe some of the old rules were wrong, and they had to go, but maybe we have gone too far, reacting against strict legalism, fitting in with the world around us, going with the flow. These sermons are about restoring Biblical standards of Christian behaviour: getting back to some clear black-and-white thinking about what’s right and what's wrong. They take a fresh look at the Ten Commandments. But our starting point is Psalm 119:97: “Oh how I love your law! " You have to start there. You have to learn to love God's law, and here are ten reasons why you should.
Temporada 4
Leave No Stone Unturned
When love grows cold and Jesus comes alongside and gently, lovingly, graciously whispers, “You don’t love me like you used to,” what are you supposed to do? Song of Solomon 5.
Psalm 36
Psalm 26. A prayer to experience the love of God in the everyday circumstances of life. Speaker: Pastor Paul Savage of Craigavon Baptist Church.
Behold Your God
In the second of our teaching sessions from Durrow we think about the glory of God: what is it and what it means to glorify Him? Exodus 33:1 – 34:8.
