002. Tiffany's first year of tango

Tiffany started dancing tango a year ago while finishing her PhD. She talks about her motivation to learn tango, and shares stories from her defining 'firsts': from attending her very first tango class to experiencing her first tango festival. We also discuss her interest in learning to lead, the challenges of adapting to tango etiquette, and what she had learnt about the dance in the past year.

Notes:

Camila Alegre & Ezequiel Lopez performed at Tiffany's first milonga, El Arrabal, in Oxford.

The Oxford Tango Festival 2025 was hosted by Dante Culcuy and Lilie Festa; they also run the Oxford Tango Academy.

Intro & outro music: Buscándote (Osvaldo Fresedo, 1941)
