Notas del episodio
This Is Us brought together actors with unusually varied paths through pop music, theater, soaps, genre TV, prestige drama, and film. Dan Fogelman’s prior work with Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia’s shift away from brooding roles, Sterling K. Brown’s stage-to-screen breakthrough, and the ensemble’s many pre-show careers all shape how the Pearson family came together.
The result is a clear map of the casting choices, career histories, and production challenges behind the series, including the work of matching actors across different life stages. It adds useful context for why the performances feel continuous, lived-in, and specific across the show’s timeline.
