Notas del episodio

On July 31, 1846, the ship Brooklyn arrived in Yerba Buena (present-day San Francisco) after carrying 238 Latter-day Saint pioneers on a difficult six-month, 24,000-mile voyage around Cape Horn. Seeking religious freedom, the Saints endured storms, cramped living conditions, and hardship while remaining faithful through daily prayers, worship services, and obedience to Church leaders. Their arrival doubled the town's population and laid the foundation for future settlements in California. The lesson highlights their courage, preparation, and unwavering faith, encouraging students to remain steadfast and "stay in the boat" during life's trials.
