The Nation's Motto: "In God We Trust"
This Day in His-Story por American Heritage Worldwide
Notas del episodio
On July 30, 1956, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed legislation making "In God We Trust" the official national motto of the United States. Although the phrase had appeared on American coins since the Civil War era, it was later adopted for paper currency and became a lasting symbol of the nation's reliance on God. The motto reflects the belief that true strength and security come through faith in God. The lesson encourages students to consider what it means to trust in the Lord and how faith can strengthen both individuals and the nation.
