Dr. Barre shares his own journey with aging as an athlete and how this nudged him to continue to remember deeper layers of himself and shed identities that could have kept him stuck. The language of your body, with very special guest, Dr. Melissa Sell
In this episode of The Source Connection, Tarah and Liz are joined by Dr. Melissa Sell, a Health Mindset Coach, Chiropractor and overall liberator and uplifter. Dr. Melissa starts by sharing how her journey as a chiropractor lead her to her own explorations of self awareness. With the foundation of chiropractic and the innerstanding that the body has innate wisdom, that it doesn’t make mistakes, she was mostly interested on health, nutrition, how we could optimize ourselves by the foods that we ate or not, things we should avoid, the healthy vs unhealthy. And as she taught that to others, she was noticing something was missing. That notion lead her to the explorations of her internal world, and she became more interested on how perception shapes reality and experiences. One day, as she listened to a podcast about magnesium supplementation, she heard about GNM for the first time. In her own words “this is the most incredible work that exists in the world of health and like, no one knows about it.” As she discovers and studies it, she decides she wants to be a part of helping others get access to this information. German New Medicine (GNM) was developed by a German doctor, Dr. Hammer, and can be simply described as the map for understanding why our bodies develop symptoms. He was able to create this with scientific exactitude of why our bodies go through different adaptations, allowing us to understand why we have a pimple, sore throat or tumor. Dr. Melissa is passionate about sharing this knowledge with everyone and believes that if we don’t innerstand what our bodes are doing and why, we become fearful and susceptible to all kinds of trickery. Hence the reason why lots of people are vulnerable and still rely on systems that will give them any bit of relief, but don’t necessarily support them in health and well being. Dr. Melissa gifts you a masterclass on the foundation of GNM in this episode; the 5 Biological Laws - the framework for the whole picture. If you are interested in being free, not interested in being a slave to the system of disempowerment, brokenness and sickness, and who really want to innerstand what it is to be responsible for your own experience, get ready, you couldn’t be in better company! The Highest Path, with very special guests, Joel & Yerasimos
In this episode of The Source Connection, Liz and Tarah connect with Joel and Yerasimos, co-creators of the “Here For The Truth” podcast, “Rise Above The Herd," a transformational 8-week group coaching program, and “Friends of the Truth,” a private membership community. The lads start by sharing how they came together, how their first zoom conversation catapulted them into starting a collaborative, creative process that turned into their very successful podcast. They share how their deep alignment has been the driving force for powerful creations and how they hope to inspire others to walk their most authentic paths. They share their upbringing and their stories of awakening. The commons roads traveled and findings along the way. They both share the most important curves and long climbs, and speak so eloquently about their process of individuation, and how that has allowed for them to become more of who they are, bringing forth their gifts, wisdom and unique talents to bless their own experiences and the ones of others. And how that process, one of the most important ones, allows for men/women to step fully into who they are here to be. They dive into the important themes that have carried them through their journey of self development and self actualization; curiosity, commitment, love for learning, courage, authenticity, self governance and ownership, to name a few. They share how they perceived the past few years, the collective “dark night of the soul”, the splitting, and the invitation to search and walk “the highest path”, or dive deeper into slumber. Joel explores the ways in which we bought into the comfort, the illusions, the conveniences. And that now, we have an opportunity to detoxify from all the ones that we consented to - both within and without. Yerasimos brings it back to the choice of either focusing on what’s going on externally, that most have no total control of, versus focusing on what’s within our control, meaning, ourselves. Let us rejoice in what’s possible, the magic available to us when we choose to direct our attention and intention to following our inner guidance and compass - an experience of life more beautiful and exquisite than we could ever imagine. When we remember the incredible potential of our spirits, our imagination and creative capacity invites us to the role of creator - cultivate it! “When you truly realize that you are the common denominator in all your problems, you realize your are the common denominator in all the solutions” Joel This episode is filled with gems, insights, opportunities, and a generosity of hearts that opens and gives. One Bell Does Not a Choir Make, with very special guest Henrietta Woodcox
Liz and Tarah have the pleasure of connecting with Henrietta Woodcox and diving into her delightful and refreshing world of not only handbells, but grounded optimism and a sense that all is right with the world. Henrietta is a 12x National Champion Handbell Choir Director & Master Artist. She first fell in love with the handbells at the Aledo United Methodist Church, in Aledo, TX. The ladies explore the importance of community, hence Henrietta's saying, "One bell does not a choir make!" Isn't that the truth! Henrietta also shares about her balance in following her dreams and staying grounded in the moment, which can be tricky sometimes. Who benefits?
In this episode of The Source Connection, Tarah and Liz start with some tapping for a change! Some energizing and soothing touch. Self care, yeah! The ladies get right into the topic of silent wars and how we’ve been born into systems that are completely distorted and anti life. They discuss the foundations of some of these systems, how they’ve been built on so many misconceptions, keep perpetuating a gap between us and our abilities and continue to downgrade man/woman kind to less than. They share their ideas about the “war against our bodies” and how we’ve been conditioned to believe we don’t have what it takes to support ourselves, our health and well being. What if we looked at symptoms as messengers, and what we call disease as a perfect, natural, capable opportunity to come back to homeostasis? They contemplate what are the stories wired in the nervous systems, how we act/react to them and how a pause, a deeper breath at the right moment can help shift the perspective into more ease. Tarah and Liz share some of their experiences on how they’ve approached and gone through “illnesses” - either in their personal explorations or with loved ones. They explore how they continue to be curious about themselves and what can best support them at different times. They go into some very personal stories to illustrate how they’ve come to the innerstanding of what is important to them, how they’ve drawn some perspectives and actualization about the allopathic medical system. The ladies invite you to explore what systems most support your vision of your body, which ones reflect the highest innerstanding of your being, what are the most aligned with how you see life and its processes… to get curious, ask questions and delight yourself in the inquiry. Gordy Hamil is an owl whisper, a shaman, a fellow ungovernable being, and an explorer of self and the magic of the Universe. Konenki - the season of the wise woman, with very special guest, Tania Elfersy
In this episode of The Source Connection, Liz and Tarah link up with Tania Elfersy, Transformative Coach, Speaker, Educator, Author, mother and wife. This episode sprouted from a very unique opportunity - Tania reached out to Tarah and Liz about her book “The Wiser Woman’s Guide to Perimenopause and Menopause”, and invited the ladies for a conversation! It was an immediate yes, and here it is! Through her own menopause journey, Tania started to realize that the story being told about women, their bodies and processes was lacking context and true applied awareness. She was introduced to Hormonal Replacement Therapy (HRT) as a cure for all the discomfort she was going through, and upon further investigation, found out that the book that declared it to the world, Feminine Forever, portrayed women as decaying/castrated beings when reaching an older age. She was immediately turned off by that concept and knew a new story needed be told. She decided to connect to her symptoms and began to translate them as opportunities for greater connection with herself. She knew that the body that had gotten her through all phases of life was not malfunctioning, and that the answers were within. Tania shares how the 3 Principles of Innate Health by Sydney Banks helped her transform her thinking, yielding results immediately. In a simple description, “it is an understanding of how mind, thought and consciousness interplay to create the human experience”. Boom, Tania’s life was never going to be the same. She opts to start to not take her thoughts so seriously and starts not paying so much attention to the ones that tell her “I’m not enough… something is wrong and needs fixing…” She chooses to trust her body, her hormones, her process and knows that there is innate intelligence to it all. The dialogue becomes “what if menopause is a brilliant transition into becoming an elder?” With that insight, she is sure that nature wants us health and thriving elders. Tania is a powerhouse, challenging these dominant narratives that tell all of us that our natural cycles are wrong and need intervening with. She invites you to a new relationship with your body and its wisdom. She lets you know that there’s always a more empowering way. And for the title of this episode, Konenki - watch and find out ; ) “The Wiser Woman is within you, and she wants to be found” - Tania Not: as much as this is a talk about perimenopause and menopause, this is an episode for everyone, regardless of gender - the insights here can be applied to anything! The Elephant Can't Even Fit in the Room
Explícito
In this episode, Tarah starts us off with a deep discussion about “mom jeans,” evolving (thank goodness) into the timeless exploration of “fitting in” and belonging. Where you born with the rebel gene? When did you stop conforming? We explore how it is that some people “got it” pretty quickly when March 2020 hit, and some still haven’t…what’s going on there? What are the important questions to ask ourselves? Can we bridge the divide with love, with conversation, or is it too late? If so, what does that bridge look and feel like?
