A discussion on our current mainstream understanding and approach to treating mental illness, specifically depression, from my perspective of being both a psych nurse and a psych patient. We have come a long way in breaking the stigma of mental illness, but now it's time to look at the way we treat it and ask ourselves if it's really working.
