Creative Quest #12: Diving Into Paid Video Advertising - Is It Worth It?

Hello and welcome! How are you all doing out there? As promised in our last episode, we've dived head-first into paid video advertising! We ran a little experiment across YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, to see how far your money goes on each platform, how difficult they are to use, and most importantly, we find out whether or not it's worth the money! I had a great time running this little experiment, and in this episode, we go through the entire process from start to finish and give you everything you need to know to figure out if it's worth it. So, if you're banging your head against the brick wall that is the algorithm, and you're wondering if it's worth paying to get through that wall, this is absolutely the episode for you! Creative Quest #11: Learning More From Failure Than Success

Hello and welcome! We're rolling into Episode 11 with a fresh new look for our intro and outro! We're in good spirits this week, with another rounds of successes and failures for you to think about, so let's take a quick look at what we cover in this episode: February was our Podcast's most successful month so far, but March's figures more than DOUBLED February's! So a huge thanks to all our long-time listeners, as well as all our newcomers! Our video Shorts analysis continues, with another worst-week-ever followed by our all-time best week! We started work on recording our first video tutorial, and after two complete failures, the third time worked perfectly. Failure sucks, but it's also good to remember that failing is the best way to learn, so we talk a bit about that this week. We have started recording and editing for our second Let's Play series We look ahead as we plan our first paid advertising campaigns across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube to see what kind of gains can be achieved and which platform gives you the best bang for your buck, with results coming in the next episode! Creative Quest #10: Celebrating The Small Wins to Stay Positive in the Face of Adversity

Creative Quest #9: Let's Get Analytical: We Compare TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Performance!

Creative Quest #8: More Mistakes, Solutions and Some of Our Best Results Yet!

Hey! Thanks for joining us once again as we roll on with our - slightly delayed - 8th Episode! We missed our last scheduled episode due to Raven feeling a bit too poorly to record two weeks ago, and we decided to wait until this weekend to record so that our release cadence stays the same and doesn't skew our entire planned calendar for the year! Creative Quest #7: Riding into 2024 With New Goals and Some Exciting News!

Happy new year! I can't believe it's 2024 already! We're starting the new year with a bang, with our longest episode in a long time, maybe ever! So get a drink, get comfy and dig in. This week we run through: The fun we had over Christmas and New Year despite someone feeling a bit poorly! What is Streamlabs? And what are we using it for? What are subscriber badges and why did we get some? We bought a lovely new item to make Raven's craft streams more professional and engaging. Creative Quest #6: Three Month Milestone!

How has it already been three months?! That's right, this marks out 3 Month Milestone, so we're recapping our experience so far and discussing our progress since the beginning of our Creative Quest! We'll be looking at: - The importance of laying down a stable foundation before pushing further. - Where our social media stats are sitting right now, before actively making efforts to grow them so that we have a benchmark to compare against as we aim for growth in 2024. - What we've learned so far by taking on Twitch streaming, Podcasting and Content Creation. - How we feel about our progress and has it been worth it so far? This is the last episode of the year so now we're with you all in taking some much-needed downtime to recharge our creative batteries. Creative Quest #5: WE WENT TO A CAT CAFE! | Emotes, Schedules and Cat-Cams

Thanks for joining us for Episode 5! We're still having a great time on this Quest of ours and we hope you're having a good time too! If you're new to our podcast; we're using this series as a creative journal of sorts; a diary that we're filling with all of our successes, failures and insights as we dive deeper into the world of content creation. We're trying to get out of the 9-5 grind and instead focus on our creative passions to see if we can reach a point where we can pursue work we actively care about instead of just grinding away at the day job and leaving little time left for the things that matter to us. Creative Quest #4: Social Media, Cat Charity Fundraising and Time Management

Hello and thanks for joining us! WHERE DID THE LAST TWO WEEKS GO? The time has flown by so fast and it's left our heads spinning! We have a shorter episode in store for you this week as we're leaving last week's technical deep dive behind in favour of a more easy listening flavour! In this week's episode we'll be discussing: The need to work on our business and develop our social media channels to grow our audience and how this will require us upping our short-form content skills! Creative Quest #3 - Milestones, Hurdles and Top Tips to Avoid the Mistakes We Made

Hello and thanks for joining us! We're back after missing an episode as we went on a little adventure to London for the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival convention and had the BEST time! After that we also had a friend staying with us for a while so we were out of action for a couple of weeks, but now we're back to business! In this episode we discuss: Just how fantastic the FFXIV Fanfest was and how important it is to take a break sometimes! How we managed to hit our first major milestone of reaching Twitch Affiliate status and what we need to look at next! The importance of not putting all your eggs in one basket, as our biggest growth driver is now GONE FOREVER. As promised in the previous episode, Faranir gives a list of Top Technical Tips to get started in streaming! These tips were learnt from our mistakes, so listen closely and make sure you don't make the same mistakes we did! We really enjoyed recording this episode as it gave us a good chance to look back on some fantastic times and appreciate the progress we've already made so far since we started, and that's what we want this show to be all about!
