R.I.P. and Oreos
We say goodbye to Tim Curry and Dolly Parton. Do you know what Land of Oz, Dolly Parton, and the Cleveland Browns have in common? The owners of Tweetsie Railroad built The Land of Oz and another attraction in Pigeon Forge. The original Pigeon Forge was a Civil War themed park called Rebel Railroad. That, in turn, was sold to Art Model and called Goldrush Junction. That was then sold to the Herschend family and named Silver Dollar City. Good ole Dolly Parton partnered with the Herschend family to rebrand as Dollywood. And, who knew there was ever a Wizard of Oz themed park? We also sample the new flavor of Oreos. Join us for this eclectic "R.I.P. and Oreos" episode of The Works Live. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollywood https://landofoznc.com/history https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tweetsie_Railroad
Kitchen Remodel
After a busy hiatus, we are BACK! It is festival season with our hot sauce company MadeInMaidenNC.com and we finished the 20th Annual NC Hot Sauce Festival and also Murray's Mill Harvest Folk Festival. And, if that's not busy enough, we are remodeling our kitchen due to necessity. Why aren't we having as much fun as those home remodeling shows? Is it because WE are doing the work or because NOTHING IS STANDARD OR EASY?! Catch up with us on this "Kitchen Remodel" episode of The Works Live.
