The Salt Episode
Tiebreakers
Today we're discussing salt! That aftertaste of a game that's gone wrong for someone. For better or worse, it's a part of the competitive board game experience, and today we're going over our experiences with it and then going over some of the most memorable crash outs we've witnessed. Games we talk about in this episode: Arcs, Ticket to Ride, Cascadia, Thurn and Taxi, Ark Nova, Piles, Chess.
We're discussing the namesake of the podcast: tiebreakers! We discuss some of our most memorable games we've had that came down to the wire, what tiebreakers might actually be for, and the wildest tiebreakers we could find in board games. Games we talk about in this episode: Ark Nova, Ticket to Ride, The Castles of Burgundy, Dune Imperium: Uprising, Rebirth, Pax Pamir: 2nd Edition, Arboretum.
We're back from our 2nd year at the World Series of Board Gaming in Las Vegas, with stories of victory, defeat, betrayal, and 2nd tiebreakers. We cover the event format, how we chose our games, how the games actually went, and our overall experience. (We had a great time!) Games we talk about in this episode: Ark Nova, Ticket to Ride, The Castles of Burgundy, Dune Imperium: Uprising, Let's go! To Japan, and Cascadia.
