Northanger Abbey Part 3 [Ep. 32]

It's crumpets season baby, and we are bringing even more cozy vibes to relax and study to! We are back with our final part on Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey, a story all about being a girl who, get this, is not like the other girls. We take the plot we discussed in Part 1, look at it in conjunction with the historical context of Part 2, and come out the other side with an analysis of the themes and messages here in Part 3! Is this book worthwhile? Do the themes hold up? Does Samuel talk for a long time about an entirely unrelated genre? Tune in to find out, then join us back next week as we watch the 2007 movie adaptation of the book together!

Other stuff discussed this episode:
