Child Molester Sentenced to 500 Years to Life

A Sacramento County judge sentenced 47-year-old Troy Taylor to 500 years to life in prison after his conviction on 10 counts of forcible lewd acts involving three girls between the ages of 4 and 9. Prosecutors said the abuse occurred repeatedly between 2020 and 2023. Taylor also had a prior child molestation conviction from 2002.

The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office noted that under California’s Elder Parole law, Taylor could become eligible for a parole hearing after serving approximately 23½ years if he meets the statutory requirements.
