A Sacramento County murder suspect wanted since 2017 is back in California after an international search. The FBI says Jose Guadalupe Lopez Nunez was extradited from Mexico to face prosecution in connection with the death of Emelina Quintero-Ramos, whose body was discovered in the Sacramento River near Isleton.

Also today — an Elk Grove man faces federal charges after authorities say online threats involving fireworks and federal property led investigators to his arrest.

In City Watch, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office is asking the community for help identifying a man who died earlier this year after suffering a medical emergency at a local shelter.
