This story invites us to consider the seriousness of persistent sin, the patience of God who continually warns His people, and the consequences of turning away from Him. The Kingdom Comes Apart: 1 Kings 12-16

In this episode, we explore Book of 1 Kings 12–16 and the dramatic division of Israel following Solomon’s reign. As Rehoboam’s harsh leadership fractures the kingdom and Jeroboam establishes rival worship in the north, we witness how quickly hearts and nations can turn from God. Through the rise of flawed kings and the deepening pattern of idolatry, culminating in the reign of Ahab and Jezebel, this passage invites us to consider the weight of leadership, the danger of compromised worship, and the consequences of a divided heart. As we walk through these chapters, we’ll see how turning from God leads to chaos and decline, ultimately pointing us to the need for a faithful King who leads His people in truth and righteousness.

The Empty Tomb: Luke 24: 1-12

The King at the Cross: Mark 15: 33-39

In this powerful episode, we reflect on Gospel of Mark 15:33–39, where darkness covers the land and Jesus cries out from the cross, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” As we walk through this sobering moment, we consider the weight of sin, the depth of Christ’s suffering, and the tearing of the temple curtain that signifies a new way into God’s presence. The House God Builds and the Greater Glory to Come: 1 King 6

In this episode, we explore the construction of the temple under King Solomon as recorded in First Kings chapter 6. After generations of anticipation since the days of King David, the long-awaited temple for the Lord finally begins to take shape in Jerusalem. The chapter carefully describes the beauty, craftsmanship, and sacred design of the temple, cedar walls, gold overlay, and intricate carvings, all reflecting the holiness and glory of God. Yet in the middle of the construction details comes a powerful reminder from the Lord: His presence among His people depends not merely on a building, but on their obedience to His word. Join us as we reflect on what the temple represented for Israel, how it pointed forward to God dwelling with His people, and how this passage ultimately prepares us for the greater fulfillment of God’s presence through Christ.

The King, the Covenant, and the Forever House: 2 Samuel 7

In this episode, we explore one of the most significant promises in all of Scripture found in Second Book of Samuel chapter 7. When King David desires to build a house for the Lord, God responds with something far greater, a promise to build David a house instead. Through the prophet Nathan, God establishes a covenant declaring that David’s throne will endure forever. This passage not only reveals God’s grace and faithfulness but also points forward to the ultimate King, Jesus Christ, whose eternal kingdom fulfills this promise.

The Cost of a King: 1 Samuel 8

In this episode on 1 Samuel 8, we explore the pivotal moment when the aging prophet Samuel faces Israel’s demand for a king “like all the other nations,” revealing a deeper spiritual struggle beneath a political request. We unpack God’s response, Samuel’s solemn warning about the heavy cost of human kingship, and the powerful themes of leadership, security, and conformity that still resonate today.
