🎙Finding Strength in the Middle of the Mess
Finding Strength in the Middle of the Mess 🎙 Episode #5 Welcome back to Strength Exchanged. I’m your host, Juanita, and I am so glad you’re here. If you’re listening today, I want you to look at your hands. We use them for everything—working, caring for our families, holding on tight when life feels like it’s spinning. And today, I want to talk about what it looks like to trust God… right in the middle of the mess. In the middle of transition. In the middle of a move. In the middle of the unknown.” ─── Right now, my life is a series of boxes and transitions. We are in a season of moving—closing one chapter and starting another. And if I’m being honest… it’s messy. But yesterday, I did something small. I painted my nails aqua blue. It might sound small… maybe even silly. But for me, that colour represents a leap of faith. A reminder that I am choosing to trust an unknown future… to a very known God.” We often think that peace only comes when the boxes are unpacked and the new house is settled. We think, ‘When I finally get there… then I’ll feel stable.’ But God is calling us to find our strength in the middle of the transition. Right here—in the dust of the packing. In the uncertainty of what’s next. Isaiah 43:19 says, ‘See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?’ God is already moving in your unknown. He is already at work in the chaos, in the packing boxes, in the shifting seasons of your life. This is what Strength Exchanged is all about. I am exchanging anxiety for His peace. I am exchanging control for trust. I am exchanging needing to know the ‘how’ for resting in the One who already holds the outcome. And when I look at my aqua blue nails, I’m reminded: I am not just in a transition. I am in His hands. So I want to challenge you today. What is one small, physical thing you can do this week to remind yourself to trust God? Maybe it’s a verse on your mirror. Maybe it’s a bracelet you wear. Maybe it’s simply pausing when overwhelm rises… and taking a breath before you respond. Something tangible. Something that anchors your heart when life feels unsteady. Because even if your life looks like a mess right now… God is still doing a new thing. Thank you for being here in this season of transition with me. If you are in your own in-between, hold on. God is not finished. He is the author of your next chapter—and it will be beautiful in His timing. Keep exchanging your strength for His. Let’s keep trading the heavy for the holy. 🙏🏻
