Sign Special — AUREL · May 3 – May 23
AUREL · The Amber Sign · May 3 – May 23
A special edition of The Dog You Chose. Most mornings, The Daily Companion reads all eighteen Companion Signs and moves briskly along — but every sign in the wheel deserves a portrait of its own, and this series takes them one at a time, in the order of the year.
Benedetto opens the paper from Gulfport, Florida. Violetta paints the full Aurel portrait: the Encourager of the pack, a dog running on the Play instinct and the Amber's mood of Warm Cheerfulness — cheerful, encouraging, and certain that every day deserves at least one good story. Its motto: "How bad could it be?" Its habitat: the Backyard Gathering. Its warning, delivered kindly: beware of ignoring warning signs. And the portrait closes with the sign's lesson — accept limitations, and let hope sit beside the things it cannot fix.
A musical break from the author's own notebook: 'Sois Gentil.'
Aurel's readings run in the daily paper through May 23; on May 24 the wheel turns to Thoren. Find your dog's sign at dogyouchose.com. From The Companion Signs by Nick A. Shishkov — the first horoscope ever written for dogs.
