"Living in Babylon Without Becoming Babylonian" (October 7, 2026) | SDA Sabbath School Lesson Review

We master Daniel’s prophecies, decipher the metallic image, and chart world empires with absolute confidence, yet remain blind to our own Babylonian spirit. Prophetic knowledge was never meant to fuel religious triumphalism or arm us to police lifestyle checklists. Daniel survived pagan power without adopting pagan values because daily, unseen obedience anchored his conscience long before the lions’ den. The tragedy is not failing to predict the final crisis, but preaching the judgment while refusing to let God judge our motives. If people cannot see Daniel’s God in us, our charts are worthless.
