The common cry, "There is no love in the church," demands an uncomfortable question: Are we contributing to the very absence of love we condemn ? We often evaluate faithfulness by doctrinal accuracy, prophetic timelines, and Sabbath-keeping. Yet, we can expose Babylon while building our own Babylons of exclusion, and defend the truth while remaining harsh, proud, and spiritually cold. Doctrines are meant to be signposts pointing to Jesus, not trophies of superiority. Possessing the truth without being transformed by it leaves us spiritually bankrupt.
Our prodigal moment is not necessarily leaving the church ; it is coming to our senses right in the pews. Stop asking whether you have the Truth—does the Truth have you ? Real conversion begins when what we believe finally becomes the way we love.
