Dick has been a motorcyclist for 60 years, starting in 1964. He has owned five motorcycles, including a Lambretta scooter, a Honda 160, a Honda 450, a Honda CB919 sport bike purchased new 22 years ago, and a Triumph Rocket 3 bought new 8 years ago. He rode the 160 and the 450 across the USA in the past. With the CB919, he has explored California, Idaho, and Montana. The Rocket 3 has taken him to every U.S. state except Hawaii and every Canadian province except the Northwest Territory, accumulating 115,000 miles (185,000 km) on the odometer. Dick has also ridden a Harley in Hawaii, and missed the Northwest Territory due to its lack of roads.
