From the Pride Committee of Bohemian Football Club (Bohs FC) in Dublin, Ireland, welcome to Episode 2 in this short two-episode series examining LGBTQI+ inclusivity in football (soccer). We'd love you to listen, and to share, as we think the story Bohs FC has to tell around its work on LGBTQI+ inclusivity in football is an important one. We hope to reach out to as many people as we can - in football, in the LGBTQI+ community, and to allies. Times are changing, and not always in a good way. Stories connect, encourage, and build resolve. Your support matters. This episode focusses on our club, Bohs FC, from its foundation and early history right up to its work over the past decade in supporting greater LGBTQI+ visibility and inclusivity in football. The episode is presented by Jim McElroy, Mary Nolan and Luciano Santis on behalf of the Pride Committee of Bohs FC. Guest interviewees are Gerry Farrell and Jimmy Dignam. Gerry is a lifelong Bohs fan and is one of the club's historians. Jimmy is also an avid Bohs fan and currently works as the club's Chief Operating Officer. Interviews were recorded and mixed in June 2026 at the offices of Bohemian Football Club in Phibsboro, Dublin and at Sallins, County Kildare. Matty is the author of the first ever LGBTQI+ Inclusivity In Irish Football study, which was launched at Leinster House (the Irish Houses of Parliament) in November 2025. Jamie is a fan of Bohs FC and is a member of the LGBTQI+ specific football club, the Dublin Devils. Ella is a fan of Bohs FC and is active as a player, coach and official in Gaelic Games.
