Episode Summary: In this final installment of our "Births of the Gods" series, we examine one of the most bizarre origin stories in the Puranic tradition: the birth of Rudra (Shiva) from the furrowed brow of a frustrated Brahma. According to the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and the Viṣṇu Purāṇa, when Brahma's "mind-born" sons refused to procreate, his cosmic rage manifested physically between his eyebrows, resulting in the emergence of a howling, blue-red child.
