Good evening. Texas. I'm Aaron Jolly. We're staring down a serious weather setup, folks. A powerful spring storm is taking aim at Texas, bringing a dangerous mix of record heat, howling winds. And critical fire danger. Looking ahead. Down in South Texas, the heat is already on, while laredo is forecast to hit 98 degrees tomorrow. That's just one degree shy of the 1971 record and a full 35 degrees above normal for March. But here's heads-up for week ahead, that heat is about to crash. A High Wind Warning is in effect for the Panhandle starting Sunday morning. Northwest winds could gust as high as 65 miles an hour, while across Central Texas, temperatures will reach the mid-90s Sunday afternoon. Then a powerful cold front crashes through.
