Behind the gates of hell: Oklahoma Lawton Correctional Rehabilitation Facility

In this debut episode, we take an unfiltered look at life inside the Lawton Correctional Facility (now known as the Red Rock Correctional Facility) in Oklahoma. We sit down with a former corrections officer who served during the facility’s era of private ownership. He walks us through his journey from his first day on the yard to the specific, high-stakes incident that resulted in a career-ending injury and lifelong physical and mental complications. This is a story about the hidden realities of the American carceral system and the lasting toll it takes on those who work within it.
