Temporada 2
Did Adrian Marry Markiplier?
This week, our players discover that ghosts are real, and are distinct from Ghost Type pokemon. They also do some research and find an old man. Is Buzzwole good only cuz he’s buff? Is Ducklett really just another lame duck? And did we somehow forget the reason behind the episode’s title? Answers to all these and more in the episode. DOWNLOAD IT NOW!!!! EDITOR’S NOTE - The quality of this episode is…a little lackluster. I have been going through some health issues and haven’t been able to set aside as much time for editing that I usually do, I had to just try and trim the bigger bits and silences. Am going to try and make the next one better.
Temporada 1
If It Flies, It Spies
This episode, our players learn some more about each other, but also a few small bits and pieces about the Laboratory they find themselves in, as well as discover a pokemon in a sticky situation, that is maybe too poorly described, but we ran with it. Do we have some excellent teamwork moments? Very yes. Do we have to remember that pokemon is a world of whimsy? Also yes. And finally, are Pidoves even real? Give us your opinion, and listen now! Editor’s Note - LaMar, who plays Joy-Joy, had to leave part way through the session, but gave us permission to continue without him. Also, there may be a few…rough spots. Things have been a little crazy in the editor’s life, but I think I’ve gotten most of the big things in the episode dealt with and cut out any long pauses or bad audio bits. The Lost Episode
Hello listeners. This is a weird one, but due to a forgetful editor, we don’t have the actual recording for this episode. As such, we have gotten together and done this recap episode, which quickly devolved into delightful side tangents and commentary about pokemon design and other things. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, especially since one of the pokemon evolved, but we’ll have some art and stuff to tide you over. Some questions for you as an audience to ponder. What is the plural of MILF? What pokemon would we be better off without? Is a preponderance of self-criticism really all that bad? And do you think we’ll get any additional listeners with our preponderance of tags?
Guys or Birds?
Our heroes have some really, really, really good dice rolls. The DM definitely didn’t accidentally create a story line, the references to Shaquille O’Neal have been left in for the jokes, and the Superbowl Ice Breaker question didn’t turn out as funny as I’d hoped. Joy-Joy almost has a VERY TROUBLING EXPERIENCE, but again, the dice were very much on his side. Did the group come up with some interesting theories regarding Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny? Did the DM want to over-complicate the term Jeweler? And did the DM also not recognize a plot hole of his own making? Can you spot it? All this and much much more, including a false end. Download and watch the trainwreck I made!
A Chance Encounter with Crab
Our heroes reunite. A couple of them have some spooky experiences, Lee does maybe a little too much Gaslighting, Gatekeeping, and Girlbossing, and Kade’s cousin loses a pokemon. What things are in store for our heroes in Del Aro? Does the DM lay the groundwork for a misunderstanding of his own words that escalates wildly next session? And do squatter’s rights apply to a sentient mobile home that you just met? We might answer these questions and more! So download the episode! Now! Do it now! Editor’s note - The end of the episode is a little garbled. I think there was an issue with my internet or with the recording itself, but I tried to get it to sound…at least a little okay. Sorry, y’all. If you enjoy the show, and want to see some cool pokemon cards too, follow our Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/tenotepod/
The one with awkward questions, terrible mouth sounds, and really great dice rolls
Our heroes spend a little time catching some new pokemon, and meeting some new, possibly dangerous, people. What is Kade’s mysterious benefactor hiding? Why is the bad guy so concerned with personal health? How far do we lean into the rule of cool? How petty towards a millionaire monster should the DM be? How mean will the players be to the DM when he gives them a pokemon he thought they’d like? Turns out, it’s a lot. And what events would you watch in the Poke-lympics? All this an much much more, better things in this episode. So download it. NOW!
A Bit of Tonal Whiplash
As Kade and Eggbert deal with the aftermath of last session’s shocking adventure, and also encounter an NPC whose name generation haunts the DM to this day, we follow Danny, Joy-Joy, Lee, and a mysterious woman as they enter an unexpected competition. Is it a bit sudden to start in a fairly dramatic and slightly tense scene, then flip around to a silly contest? Possibly. Do we inch so very close to some terrible, terrible implications? You’ll have to find out. And remember, all Multi-Level-Marketing “businesses” are 100% scams. You’ve been warned! Something seems a little…off
Two of our heroes have an interesting encounter in Del Aro, while everyone else finally leaves Puentedad. Did the DM have way too much fun creating a language specific for this scenario? Possibly. Did he also have a nightmare of a time trying to type this out because the “D” and “C” keys stop working on his laptop, and thus have to copy/paste every time he had to use either? Very yes. Was he still giggling while making this description because this is ridiculous? Also yes. Just download the episode!
Goodbye Puentedad
Our heroes are, finally, all departing Puentedad. Surely the next episode won’t have 3 of them again leaving the city…that would be ridiculous. Does one of the players get a new pokemon just because they were funny? Does another have a small emotional breakdown over complements? And will bike theft turn out to be a funny running joke? Download the episode and find out! NOW!! Find us on Instagram at Tenotepod https://www.instagram.com/tenotepod/
Finally a gym battle
Our heroes finish up things in Puentedad, and some of them make some interesting decisions. Did we have some decent sized adjustments to mechanics between sessions? Very yes, because stacking Intercepts almost made the DM cry, and he’s already a sad sad man. We also learned that a surprising number of pokemon could learn Teleport via TM in Gen 1, the dice really wanted Kade to get a bicycle at 1:00 A.M, and Steven has a pokemon encounter in real life.
