If Jesus is who He said He is, then He has authority over us. In John 5:1-16 we see three examples of His authority being exercised.

1. Jesus has authority over sickness. (v.1-9a)
2. Jesus has authority over the sabbath. (v.9b-13)
3. Jesus has authority over sin. (v.14-16)
