We can be assured and encouraged to put our faith in Jesus Christ by noticing four steps of growth in the faith of the nobleman in John 4.

Step #1- Searching for healing in Christ. (v.43-47)

Step #2- Looking for a sign from Christ. (v.48-49)

Step #3- Believing the word of Christ. (v.50-52)

Step #4- Trusting in the person of Christ. (v.53-54)

Four stages of faith in Jesus:

1. Crisis faith.

2. Confident faith.

3. Confirmed faith.

4. Contagious faith
