Tay Does Life With Kane Harland - Cut the Crap (IBD AWARENESS)

Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Week is 1-7 December 2022 This episode was recorded with a great friend of mine, Kane. We discussed a condition that he suffers with Crohn's. Crohn's disease is a lifelong condition where parts of the digestive system become inflamed. Research conducted by Crohn's & Colitis UK in 2022 suggests 1 in every 123 people in the UK have either Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. This amounts to a total of nearly half a million people in the UK living with IBD. I really enjoyed this episode with Kane, he was a great guest and I hope by sharing his experience, he will be helping others. Tayler Instagram - @tay_does_life #taydoeslife

Tay Does Life With Laoise Toye - Endo and Me (ENDOMETRIOSIS AWARENESS)

TRIGGER WARNING - MENTAL HEALTH Apologise for the audio in some parts! I will make sure I get this sorted for future episodes. Google Definition of Endometriosis - A condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Endometriosis - Endo for short This episode was one of my favourite episode to record. I got to record an episode with one of my best friends and was able to raise awareness about endometriosis. Laoise Toye is currently a television researcher on the Channel 4 Production Training Scheme who has been struggling with endometriosis since her adolescent years. This episode talks about women's health, endo symptoms, periods with endo, work-life and school year with endo. On a personal note, I didn't know much about endometriosis before this conversation and now I feel so much more knowledgeable. According to statistics 1 in 10 women and those assigned female of birth of reproductive age in the UK suffer from endometriosis. 1 in 10 that's a crazy statistic. In order to make change we need to start talking then get action started.
