Some songs comfort us by making things feel easier.

This one does something different.

“This Too Shall Be Made Right” looks directly at the things that are hard to name: hunger, injustice, violence, oppression, environmental destruction, fear, and the suffering we may not always see outside our own front doors.

But it does not leave us there.

This week’s Sunday Spark: The Set List is rooted in the hope that God is not distant, silent, or dormant in the middle of all that is wrong. God is with us—and that means God is still moving, still calling, still challenging, and still working toward something better.

The song holds together two truths: the world contains real suffering, and we are not allowed to simply ignore it. At the same time, we can still believe that injustice does not get the final word.
