Notas del episodio
The Roys split between New York and Richmond, Virginia, where Logan has gathered conservative donors at the Future Freedom Summit to handpick a presidential candidate capable of neutralizing the DOJ investigation into Waystar. Roman brokers a private meeting with right-wing congressman Jeryd Mencken and brings Logan the business case for backing him — Mencken's audience maps onto ATN's, and his political cover funds the GoJo acquisition. Logan commits, overriding Shiv's objections. In New York, Kendall's DOJ testimony collapses: his attorney tells him the documents are insufficient and his performance damaged the case, then he fires her. A last-minute flight to Virginia and a diner pitch to Tom Wambsgans — offering him a way out of prison in exchange for testimony against Logan — goes nowhere. Tom, who has already absorbed legal responsibility for Greg's role in the cruise cover-up, refuses to bet on Kendall again.
The episode clarifies the power structure heading into the back half of the season. Roman emerges as the only Roy who gained anything — he named the candidate, secured Mencken's agreement, and read Logan correctly. Shiv, who brokered the company-saving settlement the episode before, ends the hour overruled on the season's largest strategic call and photographed next to a politician she considers dangerous. Kendall's legal effort is effectively over: no cooperating witness, no attorney, and a photograph of Tom that may or may not be worth anything. Tom's diner scene with Greg is the episode's quietest pivot — two men inside Logan's camp cementing loyalty before the prison timeline becomes real.
