DHARMA ETHICS and MORALITY
Medical ethics, morality, and Dharma all converge on one unwavering principle: the protection of life and the prevention of harm. In modern medicine, ethics is grounded in duties such as beneficence (to help), non-maleficence (to do no harm), autonomy, and justice.
Morality reflects the inner conscience that guides a practitioner to act with integrity, beyond rules and protocols. Dharma goes even deeper—it is the righteous duty to uphold balance, truth, and the well-being of all living beings.
From a Dharmic perspective, if a drug, chemical, or procedure is believed—based on sound knowledge and clinical experience—to cause physical or mental harm, it is not only right but a duty to raise objection. Silence in the face of potential harm becomes complicity.
