We got full breakdowns of both international tournaments as they both kick-off. Dom is happy because Italy won their first game, and Elijah nervously anticipates Argentina's start. We go over results thus far, the horrible Christen Eriksen collapse (he seems to be alright thank goodness) and predictions over this upcoming weeks fixtures. In the what's on our mind segment, Dom talks about his weekend camping trip and his battle against the evil caterpillars. Elijah breaks down the E3 gaming conference, what he thought of the Halo Infinite information that was released and other games coming out down the road. An absolutely jam packed episode.
Ugh. We lost. Both of us did. United and City. Both failures. Both pain. We break down both the Europa and Champions League Finals as both of our teams failed to win their respective finals. One more heartbreaking than the other, but both still sucked. We go over end of the season awards as City cleaned house pretty much. BUT as everyone knows, soccer NEVER ends, as Copa and Euros are right around the corner. We make our predictions for both and talk about some of our expectations going into it, as Euros start on Friday. We gloss over some transfer rumors, before moving on to some NBA talk. We go over our picks, and see how close we were to being right (Dom is crushing it) We finish talking about Derrick Rose getting an MVP vote. YIKES.
The Europa and Champions League finals are upon and lucky for us, both of our teams are in the finals. (One much more important than the other, but we don't have to get into that.) But first we wrap up the end of the Primer League season. We go over the standing for the league as well as our picks, which came down to the last game of the year. We make our picks for awards this season, and even give some way too early predictions for next year. After a quick trip around the rest of the European leagues, we get into the European Cup finals this week. First Villarreal vs Manchester United in the Europa League final. Then Chelsea vs Manchester City, predictions are made and battle lines are drawn. Lastly, we redo our NBA playoff picks from last week because we messed up...
For the third time in four years, Manchester City has won the Primer League! Much to Dom's dismay and Elijah's excitement the guys talk about City winning yet another title. We breakdown the two remaining games this season with many stakes on the line. Not only in the Primer League but also for us, as Elijah has gotten within one point of Dom for picking games, so there's lots going on this week. We go over some transfer rumors that may include Messi going to Manchester City and Harry Kane wanting out at Tottenham. It's Star Wars day! Which to be honest should be considered a national holiday. In our first "Stuff" episode in which feels like a year, we have a little bit of everything. But most importantly we start off with talking about CJ's trip to Disney World, the supposed "most magical place on Earth" but did it live up to the hype? We talk about the new Star Wars animated show, "The Bad Batch" and cover some general Star Wars stuff being that it is the most important day in the entire universe. Lots of other good conversation as well, including some AWFUL and we mean AWFUL Dinosaur puns. Not an episode you want to miss.
Aaron Rodgers might get traded, which means there's no point to live anymore. At least for Elijah. After a long hiatus, the guys are back with lots of sports to breakdown, starting with the possible departure of Aaron Rodgers from Elijah's beloved Green Bay Packers. But first, obviously, NHL Power Rankings. We then breakdown the NFL draft, with some help from Dom and talk about the biggest stories coming from the draft, and the best picks of the draft. We then move onto some basketball talk as Cj tells us how the Knicks are going to win the NBA Finals, and at this point? Why not? Finally we end with some baseball talk. The Red Sox are still in first and the Yankees aren't awful, so all things are looking up in baseball.\
After a week off the guys are back to talk about how they saved soccer. We breakdown the fallout of the Super League, as we are pretty sure that our podcast two weeks ago was the reason that the Super League was dismantled. We have live reaction to City making the Champions League final for the first time ever!!! One of us is happy and the other is not. We will let you figure out who is who. We catchup on the past two weeks of the Premier League and go over the remaining schedule as the season comes to an end. We have been gone for far too long, but we are back! And first things first, Cj has a rant to go on. The Yankees are bad, the Red Sox are good, and there's plenty of baseball talk in between. We break down the first two weeks of the baseball season, where Elijah is ecstatic and Cj couldn't be more miserable. We then get into some NBA talk as the postseason approaches, and OF COURSE we go over the NHL Power Rankings! We are going to try and get back to a regular schedule soon with lots of good stuff coming down the pipeline, so keep an eye out for that and thanks for hanging tough!
Soccer very well may change forever over the coming next couple of weeks, if it hasn't already. The guys break down the creation of this new Super League in European soccer. We break down everything you need to know about the construction of it, and why it may very well be the biggest sports news story of all time. We give our opinions, current reactions from around the world, and what's next for the world of soccer. Spoiler alert, it is NOT looking good. To be honest that is most of the podcast, and by far the most important thing on the podcast.
