Verse 10, Part 3- Why Knowing Your Faith Isn’t Enough
Notas del episodio
Is knowing the truths of the Faith enough to live them well?
In Part 3 of their study of Psalm 2:10, Jake, Pat, and Louis turn to the command to “receive instruction” and uncover just how much is contained in those words. Drawing from the ancient meanings of erudio and paideia, the Second Vatican Council, Cassiodorus, and the Catechism, they explore how Christian formation involves more than acquiring knowledge. It is about allowing truth to refine the whole person—our intellect, character, habits, relationships, and way of life.
Together, they discuss the relationship between doctrine and virtue, why formation must continue throughout the Christian life, and how cooperating with grace allows Christ to become increasingly visible through us. From studying theology and philosophy to spiritual exercises, good books, and ongoing catechesis, the Church gives us concrete ways to keep being formed rather than assuming we have already learned enough.
Join us as we discover why receiving instruction is not simply about knowing more, but about allowing what we know to transform how we live.
