As Jake, Pat, and Louis begin their study of Psalm 2:10, they explore who the “kings” addressed by the psalm really are—and why the answer includes every Christian. Drawing from St. Augustine, St. John Paul II, St. Paul, and the Catechism, they unpack how our Baptism gives us a share in Christ’s kingly mission and calls us first to govern ourselves: mastering our desires, growing in virtue, and bringing our lives into greater conformity with Christ.

But Christian kingship doesn’t end with self-mastery. True kingship is ordered toward service. Following Christ, who came not to be served but to serve, we learn that governing ourselves makes us more capable of giving ourselves to others—in our families, workplaces, communities, and everyday responsibilities.

Join us as we discover why being a king in Christ’s Kingdom has far less to do with worldly power and everything to do with becoming the kind of person who is free to serve.
