Episode #162 - Inside the SEXIEST Aircraft Around, with Tecnam's David Copeland

Against a landscape of 50 year old general aviation aircraft designs, there is one company that continues to innovate and release new aircraft at a staggering pace, and they do it with STYLE. Tecnam’s story as a family-owned company is fascinating, and David Copeland knows both Tecnam and the general aviation industry like few others. He is a veteran executive with experience ranging from Raytheon’s Beechcraft aircraft, Mooney, Mid-Continent and now Tecnam. “SocialFlight Live!” is a live broadcast dedicated to supporting General Aviation pilots and enthusiasts during these challenging times. Nearly 50 years ago, Burt Rutan turned the experimental aircraft community on its head with the VariViggen, a two-seat pusher aircraft with a canard hanging out in front. In 2004, he broke the final frontier with back-to-back flights of SpaceShipOne which became the first privately built, flown and funded manned craft to reach space. “SocialFlight Live!” is a live broadcast dedicated to supporting General Aviation pilots and enthusiasts during these challenging times. She is a retired Colonel who served in the Air Force for over 24 years as a fighter pilot and senior military leader. She has flown 1,800 hours in the A-10 Warthog, including more than 100 combat missions protecting troops on the ground in both Iraq and Afghanistan. “SocialFlight Live!” is a live broadcast dedicated to supporting General Aviation pilots and enthusiasts during these challenging times. Episode #156 - Around the World NON-STOP in VOYAGER with Dick Rutan

In aviation history, there are only a handful of truly epic firsts: The first powered flight by Orville and Wilbur Wright, the first crossing of the Atlantic by Charles Lindberg, and the first supersonic flight by Chuck Yeager. In 1986, Dick Rutan and Jeanna Yeager achieved what many consider to be the last great terrestrial aeronautical achievement: piloting the Voyager aircraft on the first non-stop, non-refueled flight around-the-world. “SocialFlight Live!” is a live broadcast dedicated to supporting General Aviation pilots and enthusiasts during these challenging times. Episode #155 - Modern Day BARNSTORMING with the Incomparable Andrew King

Andrew King grew up and honed his craft at The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, a place that’s very special to me, because it’s also near where I grew up and it kicked off my own fascination with flying. If you’ve never been there, The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in upstate New York features weekly airshows and displays of some of the most iconic antique aircraft in the world, including the Fokker Triplane. Andrew is a well known expert in flying and restoring some of the rarest, vintage aircraft on the planet! Episode #154 - Dan Schwinn: Intuitive Avionics Can SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Dan Schwinn founded Avidyne in 1995 to develop modern avionics that were intuitively easy to use, allowing pilots to focus on flying the airplane, instead of pushing a lot of buttons. As logical as this may seem today, it wasn’t always the case, and we have Dan to thank for much of that as he was one of the brave pioneers of the “glass cockpit” era, and he did this at a time when FAA certification and getting a return on your investment was far from certain. “SocialFlight Live!” is a live broadcast dedicated to supporting General Aviation pilots and enthusiasts during these challenging times. Episode #153 - FLYING the INCREDIBLE and "INVISIBLE" F-35 Joint Strike Fighter

Lt. Col. Christine Kelley, call sign “Grinder”, was the first woman to fly the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter in 2015. Prior to the F-35, she flew the F-15E Strike Eagle in combat, accruing more than 2,800 flight hours and 500 combat hours during her 20 years of service in the United States Air Force. She also led the first combat mission planned, briefed, launched, and flown entirely by women in 2011. “SocialFlight Live!” is a live broadcast dedicated to supporting General Aviation pilots and enthusiasts during these challenging times.
