Am I Doing Something Wrong?

Do you ever ask yourself, "Umm am I doing something wrong? Did I mess something up?" Well, you're not alone in that one. I find it really easy to blame myself for things that don't go my way, even when I pray. The reality is that God doesn't need our permission to do things, especially when we want him to do it in ways we expect. He's a gentleman and loves to surprise us- even if it's in a way that rattles expectations. God sees things we don't see. He hears things we don't hear, and he knows us better than we know ourselves. Jesus doesn't promise us an easy life (John 16:33), but he does promise us his peace. You're not alone in feeling like this; life is hard, but he's our provider. Okay but, what IS the Gospel?

Have you ever asked yourself, "Okay, I feel like maybe I know what the Gospel is, but do I really understand what it means?" Listen here. I get it. It's a "Christanese" word, and sometimes it loses its power because Christian culture waters down the gospel. SOOOO actually, the Gospel is for YOU! Not just for the person beside you who seems like they have it all put together. Jesus came for you! BUT, when we do know the Gospel, and when we have Jesus, we have a task to go and share it with others. I never want to sugarcoat the truth; I love talking about topics (as a Jesus-follower) that may be overlooked. Trust, life isn't easy. BUT WHAT IF I'M NOT THANKFUL?!

In a season of Thanksgiving, many people struggle with actually feeling grateful. What do you do when the world tells you that gratitude is based on circumstances? It's okay to not always FEEL thankful, but understand that Jesus is our ultimate gratitude. Things don't always make sense, but God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). LOL I would be lying if I said I was always grateful- but this is a non sugar-coating podcast; as followers of Jesus, we understand that God has a higher calling for us, despite how we may feel. ADHD? Yes I struggle.

ADHD... honestly, mental health in general in the "Christian" community further isolates people who struggle mentally from a real understanding of themselves and who God has created them to be. As someone who struggles with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) on a daily basis, I understand the mental toll it takes to live a life with the lie that you won't ever be "good enough." It's a taboo subject because people don't talk about ADHD in a way that's effective, yet relatable. Allow me to break the ice for you and to help you navigate my vulnerable thoughts on this struggle that is very much real. THIS IS FOR YOU!!!

I am beyond excited to have had the opportunity to bring @avagranzow on the podcast this week to talk about all things following Jesus in an atmosphere where it may not be the easiest. I believe that I am in a season of mentorship, both through this podcast as well as outside. This episode talks about my life and what's happening, as well as diving straight into harsh truths that the Lord had to teach me- breaking off things like pride and religion over my life. Adjusting Back to the USA || Post- Study Abroad

I'M BACK! Both with the podcast, as well as in the United States! I spent the last 4 months studying abroad in England, with trips on the weekends around Europe. I knew I would grow, but I had no idea that the Lord would teach me in ways I had no idea. I feel as if I am a new person, although I am my same, normal self. Adjusting back to the USA has been one of the hardest transition periods, and my thoughts on this podcast are real, raw, and vulnerable. Spiritual warfare has been far worse than it has been for a while. It's a bittersweet adjustment, so I am here to talk y'all through this process! THIS PODCAST IS FOR YOU!!!

Words of Wisdom Ft. Grandaddy

My grandadad, Mike Humble, is well-known and loved. He is real with life and has experienced things that the common human typically doesn't. He grew up as a football player, never wanting to be a preacher, but God created his wife for ministry- ranging from prison ministry on death row to street evangelism in the dark. He is one of the wisest people in my life. He has wisdom for every person. THIS IS FOR YOU!
