Another chapter in the Gospels when Jesus is healing the sick. Remember Jesus said multiple times that it was the faith of the person that released their healing. The centurion's faith was for someone else. Listen to what happened through the Word of God. Matthew 8: 5-13.
Matthew 9:36 (NIV) When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Ask God to help you see people the way he does.
Everybody needs encouragement. When a friend speaks into your life that feeling is priceless! To God Be All The Glory!!!
Our lives can go from calm to complicated in seconds. It's all about what you will accept and reject. Jesus was rejected by many nay sayers and religious leaders but there was always one that had to find him because the truth set them free. The desire to serve Jesus Christ was unavoidable for the ones who really want to know what must I do to be saved! When we carry the Word of God and share the Word of God attacks will come but you remain faithful to God and he will renew your strength and bless you! Remember 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, verse 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ verse 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
This is a check-in on our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Colossians 3:23 reminds us of this- And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men: Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Jesus Christ. We should be eager to live out Luke 9:23 Then He said to them all , If anyone desires to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. Let's be encouraged together!
Philippians 4:13 proves that our confidence is in Jesus Christ. We have the victory and we must believe it, speak it and act on it. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Verse 6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Luke 15:11 challenges us to a place of grace and forgiveness. No one walks into anything perfectly and everyone's humble path is different. Listen to how Jesus brings us to a place of accountability through personal life experiences.
What happens when God tells you something you don't like? It is important that we don't fall back into old behaviors while struggling with being obedient. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
Psalms 27:8 When thou saith, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. This scripture helps us understand the sincerity of King David's worship.
This is a personal reflection of our character. When no one is listening or looking who are we really? Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God: and renew a right spirit within me.
