The year is coming to a close, so it’s finally time to rank our top ten favorite albums of the year. Throughout the year, we thought worthwhile releases felt rare, but looking back we both found a lot to love with this year’s releases. From superstars returning to the spotlight, newcomers looking to take the crown, and familiar artists reinventing themselves, there’s been a lot to love in 2023!
In this week’s episode, we take a deep dive into Childish Gambino's magnum opus, "Because the Internet," a decade after its initial release. Join us as we explore the album’s themes of connectivity, identity, and the digital age and how they have aged over time. From the innovative production to the thought-provoking lyrics, we reflect on the impact and lasting influence of the album both musically and societally. Whether you've only heard a few songs from the project or have read the screenplay multiple times, we hope you find something new to love or appreciate about this album!
To kick off our end of the year content, we’re back with a 2023 edition of Guessing the Missing Artist from our followers’ Spotify Wrapped. We covered up one artist from your top five and we’ll try to guess the missing artist based on the other four artists & top songs. We also take a look at our own Wrapped.
