What happens when you give two unapologetic maximalists the mic? Can confirm the conversation pops off, real fast. Alexxa and I talk about the stuff women usually say only to themselves, or quietly among friends, if at all: Bodies--the changes we experience, and the ones we elect to make along the way. Unapologetic confidence as a point of view, and how it requires constant upkeep and recalibration in order to make it authentic. More than anything, we make it so clear that what matters is choosing and working on the version of yourself that feels most you—even if it’s untraditional, opinionated, 50 shades of pink and fully unhinged. We do our best to encourage women so specifically to quiet any noise that deters you or tries to talk you out of who you are. If this hit, save it for the days you forget that positive self-talk is a discipline and confidence is a practice, not a personality trait. I. loved. this. afternoon. I had the honor of hosting Isabel and Kristina for an hour-plus yap about basically how hard it is to be so good at so many things, and how skill and talent are not only different but sometimes get in the way. We dive deep into not knowing how exactly to go about what we want, but knowing we want something different than where we were or are--and for ourselves, not for anyone else. We talk at LENGTH about boundaries bc between the three of us, our boundaries could create a new country altogether. Sara and I do not come up for air the entire time, y'all.
