Why Are You Here? (Pastor Greg Hudson, 02/22/25)

A few brave adventurers have looked for their thrills atop Mount Everest. In a less literal sense, others seek their rousing mountaintop moment with God, hoping for God to reveal Himself spectacularly as He did for Elijah and Israel on Mount Carmel. But what good was that mountaintop moment for Elijah when, hours later, he forgot his God and ran for his life? Pastor Greg reflects on Elijah's experience and encourages seeking God not simply in the extremes of life, but also the quiet places. Heart Transformation (Lucas Reutebuch, 02/15/25)

God referred to David as the man after His own heart. And yet, this same David struggled with a heart problem that culminated in murder. Though our experience may differ on the 'murder' part, we often suffer from the same heart problem as David. This sermon opens with a story of a man and his elderly father-in-law escaping the recent Palisades Fire. (Apologies for the delayed start to recording!) Elijah went straight into action when prompted by God's calling. But as he waited for God's plan to take full effect, he experienced drought like his enemies when the brook of Cherith dried up.
