Temporada 2

Good Decisions

A rich young ruler ran up to Jesus with a good question: what must I do to inherit eternal life? Jesus gave him a good answer, but the young ruler walked away sorrowful. This week, Pastor John opens Matthew 19 to ask what's really holding us back from a good decision. In an age of artificial intelligence and artificial truth, are we fact-checking our decisions against the truth written in the authorized Word of God? A timely word for all who are seeking good counsel.

God Knows Who You Are

Most of us remember being asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" In "God Knows Who You Are," Pastor John flips the question: why are we asking a child, instead of asking God who He created them to be? Walking through the story of John the Baptist in Luke 1, this message reminds us that our purpose was spoken over us before we were even formed in the womb. And if you're in a season of doubt, you're allowed a moment of disbelief — just don't let it become your permanent address.

Study Before The Test

Most of us know the feeling of sitting down for an exam we didn't study for. That pit in your stomach; the one that says we had the time and we let it slip. In "Study Before The Test", Pastor John preaches from Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 1 for students of all ages and followers of Jesus. In a world leaning on AI for quick answers, Pastor John reminds us: artificial intelligence is artificial truth. There's no shortcut to the promises of God we receive through studying the scriptures for ourselves.

Open Book Test

It's back-to-school season, and Pastor John asks the question that challenges every student, and every believer: what will be the outcome? In the sermon "Open Book Test," drawn from Jesus' prayer in John 17, we learn that the curriculum is already complete, everything we need is written in the Word of God. We won't be graded on how much we do, but on how much we receive of God's truth. It's a pass/fail test, and it's open book.

Change Your Viewpoint

Sometimes it's hard to find our way through the crowd. Through the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19, Pastor John reminds us that the obstacle we face may not move, but we can change our viewpoint. Discover how seeking Jesus with determination can turn desperation into hope, obstacles into testimony, and an encounter with Christ into victory. This devotional message invites you to change your perspective, draw near to God, and receive His invitation of salvation today.

Break Every Chain

In this week's message, Pastor John walks through Acts 16 and the story of Paul and Silas; beaten, jailed, and yet praying and singing hymns at midnight. When God moved, it wasn't just Paul and Silas who were set free. The scripture tells us that everyone's chains were loosed. This is a sermon about God's power to shake foundations, open doors, and break chains. Breakthrough is personal. God knows what chains are holding us down. A word for anyone who has been praying and desperately needing a sudden moment of God.

It's Going To Be Worth It

Life doesn't always go according to plan. Our dreams feel delayed, every life season feels long, and the struggle is real. In this week's sermon, Pastor John walks through Lamentations 3:20–26 and Psalm 138:1–3 to remind us that God's mercies are new every single morning. New mercies don't expire at the end of the week. It won't always be easy, but when we remember what God has told us in the scripture and what He has already done, new mercy is our opportunity for victory. A word of hope for anyone in a season of recovery or renewed faith.

Closed Mouths Don't Get Fed

In this week's message, "Closed Mouths Don't Get Fed," Pastor John walks through Luke 11:5–8 and Psalm 55:16–17 to show that persistent, unashamed prayer is what positions us to receive from God. There's never a convenient time to bring our requests before the Lord, but bold, continual prayer, even when it sounds like complaint, is heard and rewarded. A word on faith, patience, and staying prayed up until the answer comes.

He Is Our Praise

There is scripture that carries you through hard moments, and when we search deeper, we find God has even more for us. In this week's message, Pastor John preaches from Jeremiah 17:14 and Deuteronomy 10, teaching us how to get the most out of every scripture — through personal testimony, the writer's perspective, and God's reward. This is a sermon about rock verses, about the weeping prophet Jeremiah who needed emotional healing, and about Moses declaring to the entire congregation: He is your praise. A bad day might lead you to Jeremiah 17:14. A day of faith might take you through all of chapter 17. But diligence in the word will lead you further to Deuteronomy 10, and the reward God planned for you to receive.

Faith Follows The Instructions

Have you been walking in circles, longing for a breakthrough? In this message from Joshua 6, Pastor John reminds us that before Jericho's walls fell, God's people first had to be still, silencing their own voices to hear His. Faith isn't about negotiating with God; it's surrender to a plan we may not understand. Through Israel's obedience and Rahab's redemption, we're invited to quiet the noise of our own strategies, lean into God's instructions, and trust Him for the victory only He can bring.
