Guest Speaker Mahira Zakiuddin on Community vs. Socializing - Part 1
Have you ever thought about what 'community' is? Today, we have guest speaker and social worker Mahira Zakiuddin with us to discuss the difference between community and socializing. Can we create and foster community? How does allowing differing opinions help us grow, and how do we encourage the "we" to be stronger than the "I"? Mahira helps us unpack the benefits of community and relationships, and we hope you learn as much as we did from it! You can follow Mahira on Instagram @mlistens and @wisingalong, on LinkedIn, and on Substack. #relationships #communitybuilding #friendship #community #friendships Follow Rach and Suz on Instagram and Facebook And if you’re enjoying the podcast, please like, subscribe, and leave us a 5-star review! In today’s episode, Rach and Suz talk about the inspiration for Rach’s jingle at the end of each episode (have you listened to the variations of them? 🙂): taste and see the Lord is good! They discuss what Psalm 34:8 means when it invites us to do that, how experiential moments with God help us grow in our relationship with Him, and what the fullness of God’s goodness means. #christianpodcast #christianliving #christianity #godisgood #psalms Follow Rach and Suz on Instagram and Facebook And if you’re enjoying the podcast, please like, subscribe, and leave us a 5-star review! Listen as they dig into these two verses, and know that whatever you may be going through today, your brother and sister believers are with you! #christiany #christianpodcast #christianliving #bibleverse #newchristianpodcast Follow Rach and Suz on Instagram and Facebook And if you’re enjoying the podcast, please like, subscribe, and leave us a 5-star review!

Holy Week: Going to Gethsemane
Blessings to you, friends, it’s Holy Week! In today’s episode, as we prepare to honor Jesus’ passion this Good Friday and celebrate His resurrection this Easter Sunday, Rach and Suz dive into the importance of the Garden of Gethsemane–the symbolism of its name and how it relates to Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross. What does an oil press, olive oil, and anointings have to do with the Passion? Why is Gethsemane called a garden, and what is the significance of Jesus spending the hours before His arrest in this Garden? We hope you learn more about the Lord and His love for us as we honor Him this Holy Week! Bonus Episode Passover
Today begins Passover, one of the most celebrated holidays in the Jewish year, commemorating God’s saving power and the dawn of Jewish freedom from Egyptian slavery. Jesus, Himself a Jewish man, honored and celebrated Passover–and used it to institute what is now known as the Last Supper (also called the Eucharist or communion). Today, through the Scriptures, we hear how the Passover was established and how Jesus revealed Himself as the Passover lamb, on this, the eve before His crucifixion. Another very special guest reads to us from Exodus 12 and Matthew 26: 17-19 and 26-30.
