In this video, we explain the legal position of grandson and granddaughter rights in ancestral property under Indian law. If a property has remained undivided for four generations in a Joint Hindu Family, children get a right by birth in that ancestral property. This means both sons and daughters have equal rights after the 2005 amendment to the Hindu Succession Act.
