HOW TO WALK IN FAVOR AND BLESSINGS
Notas del episodio
Hello, my brothers and sisters,
For years I have found there is a real struggle among Christians today in receiving all the blessings that God has for us to walk in. Rest assured we will receive what we are believing, according to God’s Word. The true remnant desires to walk in all the blessings and favor of God. Therefore, our choice is evident because of our decision. Every day we are blessed with the opportunity to choose how we live and conduct our lives, and may our decisions always result in God’s blessing. “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today…” Deuteronomy 11:26-28 (NKJV) Do we really believe this? God’s promises for us to walk in favor and blessing are still available, and He did not make it unattainable.
To obey His Word and to walk in His Word are essential for His favor and blessings. There is no middle ground here.
Repeatedly in God’s Word we have the phrase, “Do not fear.” This is not a suggestion, like many take it as, this is a command. Fear is believing the devil’s report, and it robs believers of favor and blessing because they are not being a doer of His Word. True faith believes every jot and tittle of God’s report. To obey God’s Word means to be in perfect rest in His will and to have no fear. When we walk in faith, not fear, then we receive the blessings, according to God’s Word. When we are afraid, we are not doing as His Word commands, and we stumble in cursing and torment, for “…fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” 1 John 4:18 (NASB)
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
Without being fully persuaded in our faith, there is no way in which we can possibly think about pleasing God. Faith shows we are more than able in the sufficiency of our Master Jesus Christ, and that faith will prompt our obedience to His Word.
This is not to say that we will not have warfare, however true spiritual warfare is not self-inflicted.
