The Doorkeeper: Their Father Was Swallowed by the Earth | Psalm 84
Notas del episodio
His father led a rebellion against Moses. The ground opened and swallowed it whole. Then Numbers 26:11 says something strange: "But the sons of Korah did not die."
Those survivors became the men who guarded the temple doors — and they wrote Psalm 84. So when they say "I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God," they're not writing poetry. They're a generation deciding not to repeat their father's mistake.
Pastor Johnny and Pastor Tim Grandstaff walk through Psalm 84 verse by verse: why "doorkeeper" undersells what the Hebrew actually says, how the Valley of Baca connects back to Psalm 23's "through," what "from strength to strength" meant on the pilgrim road to Zion, and why margin — not more activity — is what makes this psalm livable.
