Join us as Wayne Giles shares a pivotal moment in his recovery journey in the ‘Step 3 Wayne Lived Experience Series’. In this profound episode, Wayne recounts a transformative experience where, in an instant, his longstanding desires to engage in substance use were eradicated. He attributes this sudden change to a small act of faith—simply pulling into a parking spot—which he believes allowed the full power of a higher power to resonate within him, cleansing him of his compulsions.
Wayne describes how this moment underscored the power of spiritual surrender, as outlined in Step 3 of Alcoholics Anonymous. He explains how relinquishing control and allowing faith to guide him led to a miraculous release from the obsessions that had dominated his life. This narrative is not just about the cessation of substance use but about the overwhelming sense of freedom and clarity that follows when one truly embraces the principles of recovery.
This episode offers deep insights into the unexpected ways recovery can manifest and emphasizes the role of faith in achieving profound personal transformations. Wayne’s story is a compelling testament to the idea that when we open ourselves up to help, profound change can occur in the blink of an eye.
